These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website, services, communication channels, booking system, content, and any material offered by Verity Weddings in connection with wedding photography and related services. By accessing or using this website, you accept and agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use immediately.

Our mission is to serve couples in Ontario and surrounding regions by capturing meaningful, authentic wedding moments. We take great care to provide a professional, respectful, and memorable service, and expect users and clients to respect the policies stated here.

Use of Website

You may browse this website for personal, non-commercial purposes only. By using the website, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years old or have parental consent
  • You will provide accurate information
  • You will not use this site for unlawful purposes or to disrupt operations
  • You will not attempt to copy, scrape, reverse engineer, or exploit content

All content, including text, photographs, video, brand name, and design, is owned by Verity Weddings and protected under Canadian copyright law. No content may be reproduced or used for commercial purposes without written consent.

Services Provided

Verity Weddings offers wedding photography services and related photo delivery assets such as:

  • Pre-wedding consultation
  • Wedding day photography
  • Edited photo gallery delivery
  • Video highlight reels (if included)
  • Optional additional sessions or upgrades (may be added later)

Raw files are not provided unless explicitly agreed in writing.

Services may evolve over time as our business grows and digital features such as booking systems, client upload pipelines, and newsletter subscriptions are added.

Booking and Payment Terms

To secure a wedding date, clients are required to pay a non-refundable deposit as specified during the contractual booking process. Bookings are accepted only after receipt of the deposit and written confirmation.

Remaining payment terms will be specified in your signed service agreement. Failure to pay in accordance with contract terms may result in cancellation and forfeiture of the deposit.

Rescheduling & Cancellation

We understand that life happens. Our policies are designed to balance flexibility with fairness.

  • Client Cancellation: Cancellations initiated by the client do not qualify for a refund. Deposits remain non-refundable.
  • Rescheduling: If notice is provided at least one month before the event date, you may reschedule based on availability.
  • Late Changes: Requests within 30 days of the event may not be accommodated and will result in forfeiture of deposit.

Service Interruption & Emergencies

If Verity Weddings is unable to fulfill services due to illness, emergency, accident, equipment failure, or circumstances reasonably beyond its control:

  • We will make a reasonable effort to secure a qualified subcontractor
    or
  • A full refund of all paid amounts (including the deposit) will be issued

We take professional responsibility seriously and will act in good faith to ensure service continuity.

Delivery Timeline

Clients will receive professionally edited photographs within two weeks of the event date. Delivery times may vary depending on volume, season, or unforeseen events, but we will communicate transparently if timelines shift.

Photo and video deliveries will be made through secure online gallery systems. Access details will be provided upon completion.

Client Responsibilities

To enable efficient and professional service, clients agree to:

  • Ensure access to event venues and photo locations
  • Notify us of key moments or individuals they wish to be captured in advance
  • Treat the photographer and team with respect and cooperation
  • Secure all required permits and permissions for locations (if applicable)

Client acknowledges that photography style and editing approach are artistic and subjective.

Intellectual Property & Usage Rights

Verity Weddings retains copyright ownership of all photos and video content produced unless otherwise stated in a signed commercial licensing agreement.

Clients receive personal usage rights to share, print, and display images for non-commercial purposes. Editorial and commercial use requires written authorization.

Photo Display & Portfolio Rights

With client consent (signed via contract), Verity Weddings may use images for:

  • Website portfolio
  • Social media
  • Advertising material
  • Printed and digital showcases

Clients may opt out in writing before the wedding day if they do not wish their images shared publicly.

User-Generated Content

Users may comment on blog posts or eventually upload images to share testimonials or gallery submissions. You agree not to upload harmful, illegal, defamatory, or copyrighted content not owned by you. Offensive or abusive content will be removed.

Liability

We take utmost care in planning, photographing, backing up, and delivering work. However, in cases where loss occurs beyond our reasonable control, liability is limited to the amount paid for services.

Verity Weddings is not responsible for:

  • Venue or vendor failures
  • Weather-related disruptions
  • Lost memories caused by unforeseen technical failure beyond control

Privacy & Data

By using this website, you consent to data collection consistent with our Privacy Policy. We do not sell personal information to third parties.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada. Any disputes will be handled within the Ontario jurisdiction.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the website means acceptance of any updates.
